When I began my journey to change what I ate, I was met with moments of frustration, discouragement and dissatisfaction. My taste buds were so desensitized that I couldn't appreciate the true taste of food. I encountered food cravings as I cut out all refined sugars. Determined, I continued to eat clean, I started to truly taste food and appreciate the real, natural flavours without all the added flavour enhancers, preservatives and additives.
I don't follow any specific diet but I do include a lot of raw foods, organic fruits and vegetables, seeds, nuts, organic chicken and grass fed beef in my nutritional intake. I have chosen to eliminate dairy, grains, gluten and refined sugars for many reasons.
